Chris Lynne, Founder

Chris Lynne is the founder of Transcend Education Group, LLC (TEG). Prior to founding TEG, Chris served as President for HotChalk, Inc., providing comprehensive turn-key services to bring university programs online. Chris led HotChalk in its growth from one to seven universities bringing over 35 new programs online. Prior to HotChalk, Chris served as COO and CFO for Northcentral University where he was responsible for the operational and financial leadership of the University and oversaw a 2.5X growth in active student body. Before joining Northcentral, Mr. Lynne was Senior Vice President and Head of Shared Services for Education Management Corporation, where he led many of the centralized operations shared across approximately 100 schools and colleges, both online and campus-based. This included leading the centralization of financial aid for over 100,000 students annually. He started his career at Arthur Andersen providing audit and consulting services to Fortune 1000 companies in the telecommunications, transportation and banking industries. Chris earned his Bachelor’s in Science from Purdue University and his Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.



Dr. Scott Burrus, Principal and Chief Learning Officer

Dr. Scott W.M. Burrus is a principal at Transcend Education Group, LLC and brings over 20 years experience in higher education and social policy research. Scott has experience in various leadership roles and most recently as is the provost and chief academic officer. He has overseen schools of Business and Technology Management, the School of Education, the School of Marriage and Family Sciences, the School of Psychology. Dr. Burrus has over two decades of experience in for-profit, nonprofit, and governmental organizations, performing student mentoring, faculty training, and facilitating best-practice-based outcomes.  Dr. Burrus’ background in educational and social policy research has focused on online education, child abuse prevention, early childhood education, program development in schools, substance use prevention and treatment, child welfare policy, juvenile justice, and cost study applications. He has worked on over 20 publicly and privately funded research studies and managed millions of dollars in grant funding that resulted in over 50 publications and conference presentations. Dr Burrus’ current research focus is on the application of learning analytics to facilitate adult learning success in primarily adult learning environments.



Dr. Greg Bradley, Chief Analytics Officer

Dr. Greg Bradley has been the principal investigator on over 1,000 private and public research projects related predominately to either better understanding the sometimes complex predictors of academic success at various higher education levels, evaluating the relationships between and among employee/customer behavior and firm performance, or measuring the economic impact of prescribed events. He frequently collaborates with researchers around the world concerning the innovative application of research outcomes, particularly at the confluence of the behavioral sciences, organizational development, and economics. Greg has spoken at several domestic and international conferences and has authored a variety of research articles related to improving the decision making process through quantitative analytics. He is also a visiting professor and lecturer in Behavioral Economics at the University of Havana in Havana, Cuba. Throughout his career, Greg has served in numerous academic leadership positions, most recently for a seven-year period as Dean of the Graduate School/Vice-President of Research at a major online university, where he was responsible for 5,000 doctoral students and successfully led a charge to significantly increase dissertation quality. During his tenure as Dean, he also served as the Chair of the Institutional Review Board, which presided over hundreds of doctoral research studies.



Valerie Steinbock, Principal

Valerie has over 25 years of experience in student financial aid administration, compliance and systems management; consistently leveraging technology to drive efficiency and ensure compliance at significant scale for financial aid administration and shared services in higher education.  She has served as the financial aid administrator for several large school groups with online and campus-based operations and has led over 100 implementations and optimizations of the CampusVue™ and CampusNexus™ systems, including the inaugural implementation all of Kaplan Higher Education and its affiliates.  Valerie has assembled a team of specialists with proven experience delivering excellent outcomes with CampusVue™ and in financial aid administration.



Mike McKito, Principal

Mike is a principal at Transcend Education Group, LLC and has over 15 years of experience in higher education. Mike was most recently Vice President of Marketing and Enrollment at Hotchalk, Inc. where he led a 250 person marketing, enrollment and admissions operations team and managed a $50+ million annual operating budget.  Prior to HotChalk, Mike was Vice President of Marketing at Northcentral University, an online university serving over 10,000 graduate students, where he oversaw all marketing, advertising, communications, alumni, and public relations initiatives for the university. Prior to Northcentral, Mike held a number of corporate and campus roles at Education Management Corporation (EDMC) across a variety of operational and financial areas, including marketing, business analytics, enrollment, finance and financial aid. Mike earned his MBA from the Katz School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh. He also graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's in Business Administration and Psychology and a certificate in Human Resource Management from Washington & Jefferson College.



Suresh Kolpuru, Principal

Suresh Kolpuru is a principal of Transcend Education Group, LLC and the founder and chief architect of ITYug, Inc. He has worked as the lead software architect and head of integration in large university and colleges supporting 800,000 students worldwide combined; leading multi-million projects ranging from integration of SIS/CRM/LMS systems to implementing strategic analytics across large school systems. He also has over two decades across several industries serving various capacities in technology. He was employed in three successful startups including BillMeLater (purchased by PayPal for $890 million). Suresh is an innovator and entrepreneur having built several products for K12 and higher education designed to increase student engagement and reduce costs for institutions. Suresh’s passion is to architect and build affordable and uncompromising solutions in education.



Kim Lindstrom, Principal

Kim has over ten years of higher education and technology experience, and brings a wealth of experience in large scale technology implementations including CRM, lead routing, telephony, student information systems, and learning management systems.  Kim has held technical and operational leadership positions at several higher education companies, including Northcentral University, HotChalk, Inc., and Universal Technical Institute where she she served in roles that include Sr. Director of Operations and Director of Program Management. Kim’s knowledge and experience in the industry brings tremendous value to TEG’s clients. Kim is a Certified Scrum Master and a graduate of Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington.
